Petrocoque

Petrocoque is an industry in the petrochemical segment that has been operating for 50 years in the production and sale of calcined petroleum coke, in the generation and the sale of energy and steam.

Founded in 1972, Petrocoque is a leader in South America in the commercialization and production of calcined petroleum coke. Its shareholding structure is composed equally by Petróleo Brasileiro S/A – Petrobras and by Universal Empreendimentos Ltda.

In its industrial unit, located in the municipality of Cubatão, State of São Paulo, Petrocoque has three petroleum coke calciners and an electrical energy cogeneration unit, inaugurated in March 2016.

Our coke production capacity is 550,000 tons per year and up to 18MW of electricity generation. In terms of thermal energy (steam) we have a capacity of up to 1.3 million tons per year.

Our location

We are located 70 kilometers from the capital of the State of São Paulo, close to the Anchieta-imigrantes highway complex, connected to the Beltway (Rodoanel), built to facilitate access to the country's main highways and ports.

The effectiveness of logistics is complemented by the proximity to Petrobras, raw material supplier, which guarantees us the quick delivery of quality calcined petroleum coke throughout Brazil and the world.
